ICCF, Rarities CH Scandifio's Hercules II, CGC
AKA
 DOB 7/11/2004
OFA Hips - GOOD, OFA Elbows - Normal

In July, 2007 we attended the Rarities Rocky Mountain Classic in Denver, CO.
Hercules showed like a pro taking 3 Best of Winners, all of them 5 Point
majors, as well as going on to take 2 Best of Breed's, a Group 3 and a Group
1! He achieved his Rarities Championship as well as his ICCF Championship!
Once again, a HUGE thank you to Randy McAteer for showing Hercules.

We are very pleased to have acquired Scandifio's Hercules II (AKA "Hercules") from Tony Scandy at Scandifio Kennels at 10 months of age. We believe that Hercules is one of the most promising young male dogs we have seen in years, and we are very pleased to have him in our line up of male Corsi.
We first spotted Hercules at the Molosser Breeder's Association (MBA) show in May of 2005, at Lockport, NY. He was the first young dog we had seen in some time that made us step back and go "Wow!" While he was underweight at that show, being a picky eater, he very clearly demonstrated all of the qualities we look for in a show/breeding quality working dog. At only 10 months of age at the time, Hercules demonstrated outstanding overall structure, which led to excellent movement in a dog so young.
Hercules is very "typey" in terms of his head phenotype, demonstrating an under bite of approximately 3/16", which leads to a very short, wide muzzle. He demonstrates a very large head overall, with ideal planes/axes of skull, as well as proper skull to muzzle ratios for his head phenotype. Hercules sire is Scandifio's Nino, who is a son of Bioynic's Noe. Noe is famous for throwing exceptional head type and health into his descendents. We believe that much of Hercules' head type comes down from his Grandfather Bioynic's Noe.
As an adult, Hercules demonstrates exceptional structural characteristics. He has a very strong rear end, which is not only thickly muscled, but strongly angulated, with a very nice turn of stifle. His front end is very straight when either standing or moving, with elbows tight to the body and demonstrating significant layback in combination with nice overall front shoulder girdle angle. Hercules' top line is impeccable. We believe that Hercules' great structure was gifted to him from both sides of his heritage. Hercules' Grandfather Bioynic's Noe is one of the most structurally correct Corsi ever seen on this continent
Hercules' overall movement is dictated by his correct structure. He demonstrates excellent front and rear reach and drive, with the proper "single line" tracking movement that is required of an "endurance trotter" like a Cane Corso.
Hercules' disposition can only be described as "sweet natured." He fit into our household and into our hearts immediately, and charms everyone who gets to know him. Hercules was Pennhip scored at 7 months of age, scoring approximately .5 for each hip, with no DJD and scored OFA Good and Clear Elbows at 2 years of age.
