AKC GrCh Darkstone's Island Girl
AKA
D.O.B. 03/06/2009
OFA: Fair

We are currently very impressed with, and excited about Kona's future in the AKC/CKC show ring, and as a potential contributor to our future breeding program. Kona is a medium-large female, who is becoming well known on the west coast AKC show circuit for her overall balance, breed type, movement, and ability to "have fun" in the ring, bringing a smile to those at ringside with her energy and enthusiasm. Kona is the daughter of our Grand Champion Roscoe (Sentinel's Blue Chip), who was also the 2008 Las Vegas-based National Specialty Winner for the Cane Corso Association of America (CCAA), as well as her dam Ebony (Darkstone's Ebony Rose). Ebony is the daughter of our Grand Champion "Caesar" and "Samba," both of whom are historically considered by many in the breed to be amongst the finest Corsi to have contributed to the North American foundation. To that end, in addition to her own appearance, Kona demonstrates a very strong genetic lineage and pedigree. Kona is very pre-disposed to Roscoe's head type, front and exceptional movement, while her top line, croup, and well developed rear are to some significant degree contributed by Ebony's side of her pedigree. Kona is a higher energy, harder driving, traditionally tempered Cane Corso. She is devoted to family, and does very well with meeting new people. Kona is very much an "alpha" female, who gets along very well with most male dogs, but will always place herself at the top of the social order when socializing with other females. We are happily co-own Kona with Tony Carter and his lovely family.
