“Raptor” is the son of our own Gr. Champion “Caesar.” In producing Raptor, Caesar was bred to Italian import “Bondina,” who we chose primarily for her strong head type and temperament. Raptor is a very interesting Cane Corso, in that he has a very striking “type.” He obviously demonstrates a very strong head type, including both a huge amount of skull, in combination with a very short, deep muzzle, which is happily produced by a lovely scissor bite. That combination is currently rare in the Cane Corso breed. Raptor is very heavily muscled, and heavily boned, while being of medium size in terms of height at the withers. He is truly an “old time” Corso in terms of not only his classic physical appearance and overall breed type, but also his outlook on life, being incredibly loving of and completely devoted to family and friends, while also being very selective of whom he chooses to befriend. It can be truly stated, while we hope we are never confronted with a “life or death” situation….if such misfortune were to ever occur, there is no canine in our household that we would rather have at our side than Raptor, as he would gladly give his life up in protecting those he loves, yet able to maintain a stable happy attitude in daily life. There are few canine companions that come along in a life time that one can say the same of, and Raptor is one of those individuals. Raptor is an ICCF/CCAA Champion. Of interest, nearly all of Raptor's show points, including his majors, were earned in the AKC ring in the highly competitive South Eastern U.S., while the breed was still in the “Miscellaneous” class. Raptor is now solely owned by Darkstone and lives in Canada with us.
